The Natural Farmer Program is a month intensive training program in organic farming and Permaculture focusing on production of vegetables, ground provisions, flowers and herbs for local and urban markets. The program emphasizes student learning in hands-on farm management and decision-making as well as development of necessary farming, business skills and knowledge.

The Program
The Natural Farmer Program is a month intensive training program in organic farming and Permaculture focusing on production of vegetables, ground provisions, flowers and herbs for local and urban markets. The program emphasizes student learning in hands-on farm management and decision-making as well as development of necessary farming, business skills and knowledge.
The Students well be engaged in the management of the 5 acre Permaculture farm and the organic farmers market Project in Kingston. Students also develop competencies in farm skills through skills trainings and by engaging in the day-to-day work and operation of the farm. Hands-on-training is combined with workshops, lectures, readings, and assignments that build participants’ knowledge and understanding of organic farming as well as Permaculture principles and practices.
The Student is required to start and complete a small farm plot demonstrating the knowledge and skills gained from the course.
